Path to the PhD

Achieving the PhD in chemistry is about a lot more than checking boxes....but we do have a checklist!

At Emory, we’re committed to avoiding “hidden curriculum” – unspoken expectations and requirements that can create unnecessary roadblocks to success. So, we give every incoming graduate scholar a copy of "The PhD Checklist." Because it doesn’t hurt to provide a checklist. What matters is the way in which you make each step your own.
