Non-Majors

Our community of undergraduates extends beyond our majors. Almost half of freshmen at Emory enroll in chemistry courses and more students are attending classes in our Department each year than in any other in the College. Many students take Chemistry courses to fulfill their Science Nature Technology General Education Requirement. In addition to students who plan to be Pre-Med, students considering Dental, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy, Optometry, Veterinary, and Physician Assistant Schools should review the requirements outlined by the PreHealth Mentoring Office. Many of these programs require CHEM 141/142 (General Chemistry) and CHEM 221/222 w/labs (Organic Chemistry).
